The Kings Park Community Association has sent several letters to the Smithtown Town Board outlining their failure to fairly enforce town codes in the Kings Park Industrial Area. There are approximately four dozen properties in the industrial area operating without approved site plans and in violation of Smithtown Town Code. We estimate that the Kings Park School District is being denied approximately $600K per year in lost tax revenue due to the town’s lack of enforcement of these violations.
